Marital agreements, more commonly know as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements can be a useful tool for several reasons. Everything from protecting against gold-diggers to protecting assets for adult children of previous marriages. When entering a marital agreement you should remember two things: 1) disclose all assets to your new spouse 2) don't force the other party into the agreement. If you do either of these, you may find yourself without an enforceable agreement.

I am realizing that I have gone too long without posting to this site.  I would say that I have been too busy, but aren’t we all.  Of note since my last post, I argued my first case before the Colorado Supreme Court.  It was a great experience for me and I learned a lot.  Looking back, there are things I would change, but overall I am happy with the outcome.  I hate to count chickens before they hatch, but I think we have a good chance of winning, or of at least being remanded.

As you can also see, I have updated the banner on this site.  I spent some time on Photoshop and what you see above is what I came up with.  If you have worked with Photoshop you know how complicated it can be, especially if you are like me and know nothing about it.  Maybe I should take a class.  I plan on putting up something nicer as I learn more or when I can afford to pay someone.
